Minimum surface roughness

With Micro Fin polishing it is possible to obtain, progressively, a surface roughness value of less than 0.01 μm. In traditional metal polishing and metal brushing the maximum obtainable results on Ra 0.2 μm.

Non-oriented texture

The texture of the surface obtainable with Micro Fin polishing, not presenting preferential directions of the geometric conformation, is not oriented. On the other side, the traditional techniques of metal brushing and metal finishing do not eliminate the roughness but transform it into shorter roughness lines.

Micro Fin polishing allows to obtain an ultra smooth and shiny surface, controlled rounding-edges and a diffused "softness"

Geometries conservation

With Micro Fin the polishing process does not lead to any harmful effect on the geometry of the treated parts as can happen with traditional metal polishing and metal brushing. As it is not a coating, but a conversion of the original surface, the thickness is null.

Unaltered dimensionality

In the innovative Micro Fin polishing the material removed from the surfaces is uniform in the profile. It is possible to maintain the dimensionality allowing to polish even small and medium-sized parts, with complex shapes or with undercut otherwise difficult to submit to metal brushing or metal finishing with traditional methods.

Control and repeatability

Micro Fin polishing process is controlled and perfectly repeatable countless times obtaining the same and symmetrical details. In contrast, traditional metal polishing, brushing and finishing are manual processes not possible to replicate identically.

Micro Fin polishing ensures homogenization of surface characteristics such as skin micro hardness which is significantly increased

Made at low temperatures

Micro Fin polishing process is made at low temperatures, therefore the parts are not affected by overheating.

Unaltered resistance

Micro Fin polishing process is based on a metallurgically safe reaction of surface conversion because it does not generate hydrogen: consequently, the parts maintain their structural resistance without any risk of embrittlement.

Perfect for anodizing

After the Micro Fin polishing treatment there are tangible benefits in the anodizing color homogeneity with uniformity of tone between parts made through different production methods (e.g. turning, milling, etc.) or different alloys. It is possible to make Micro Fin polishing also on surfaces already anodized in order to make the surface more shiny and glossy.
